Infant and early childhood mental health is about the social and emotional development of children from birth to five — their capacity to form relationships, regulate their feelings, and experience the world safely. And because babies can't develop any of that alone, it's really about the relationship between the child and the people who love them."

What is A Little Harmony?

A Little Harmony is a trauma-informed, attachment-oriented training platform for the professionals and caregivers who show up for children and families every day — therapists, counselors, educators, and the adults who love them most.

Our resources, trainings, and certification pathway are built around one foundational belief: every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued by a trusted adult who is calm, safe, and emotionally grounded. Because when adults are equipped, children thrive.

Based on the Harmony model of the Enneagram, A Little Harmony equips caregiving adults with the tools, language, and framework they need to protect a child's sense of connection, worth, and identity — especially through the hard places of childhood.

Whether you're a practitioner looking to deepen your clinical work, an educator seeking trauma-informed strategies for your classroom, or a professional ready to bring this work into your communityA Little Harmony meets you where you are and equips you for what matters most.

  • Steady — We stick with it and think things through.

  • Joyful — We bring energy to our day and all our feelings are welcome.

Hello.

I'm Susan Parker Jones.

I'm a seasoned clinician and an adoptive mom — and those two things shaped each other in ways I didn't expect.

I know what it's like to care deeply and still feel lost. To want to show up with patience and connection, and watch those disappear the moment things get hard. What I eventually learned was that my own childhood story was quietly running the show — and that changed everything.

I see the same pattern in the families, educators, and helping professionals I work with. It's often not a lack of care or effort. It's a nervous system under pressure.

And here's what troubles me most: we ask children to navigate stress and big emotions without ever teaching them how — then wonder why they disconnect from themselves to cope. I built this work because something different is possible. My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-sensitive, and Enneagram-based — because regulation, connection, and felt safety aren't extras. They're everything.
