A Little Harmony™ — a Framework for bringing

Regulation, Connection, and Belonging to the Children in your care.

What is A Little Harmony?

A Little Harmony is a trauma-informed, attachment-oriented training platform for professionals who show up for children and families every day — therapists, counselors, educators, and the adults who love them most.

Our resources, trainings, and certification pathway are built around one foundational belief: every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued by an adult who is calm, safe, and emotionally grounded. Because when adults are equipped, children thrive.

Rooted in a holistic and proactive approach, A Little Harmony equips caregiving adults with the tools, language, and framework they need to protect a child's sense of connection, worth, and identity — especially through the hard places of childhood.

Whether you're a practitioner looking to deepen your clinical work, an educator seeking trauma-informed strategies for your classroom, or a professional ready to bring this work into your community — A Little Harmony meets you where you are and equips you for what matters most.

  • Courageous — We are brave and also gentle and kind.

  • Peaceful — We are calm and clear.

  • Responsible — We do our best and learn from mistakes.

  • Caring — We are caring to others and take care of ourselves.

  • Confident — We celebrate what we do well and stay open to learning.

  • Creative — We are special and unique but also alike.

  • Curious — We wonder and learn together.

  • Steady — We stick with it and think things through.

  • Joyful — We bring energy to our day and all our feelings are welcome.

Hello.

I'm Susan Parker Jones.

I'm a seasoned clinician and an adoptive mom — and those two things shaped each other in ways I didn't expect.

I know what it's like to care deeply and still feel lost. To want to show up with patience and connection, and watch those disappear the moment things get hard. What I eventually learned was that my own childhood story was quietly running the show — and that changed everything.

I see the same pattern in the families, educators, and helping professionals I work with. It's never a lack of love or effort. It's a nervous system under pressure.

And here's what troubles me most: we ask children to navigate stress and big emotions without ever teaching them how — then wonder why they disconnect from themselves to cope. I built this work because something different is possible. My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-sensitive, and Enneagram-based — because regulation, connection, and felt safety aren't extras. They're everything.

Susan’s years of experience working with children as a therapist is evident in this book as she dives deep into the heart of the child. Susan not only teaches us how to nurture the children in our lives but also guides us in reconnecting and reclaiming our own inner child. It’s a beautiful experience to read and ponder the threads in your own story and then know that your understanding of self can change the life of a child you love.
